After many hours of work, dedication, and editing, Sleep by Eric Whitacre's Virtual Choir is here. Maybe I'm the only one excited about this but hey, it's cool.

This was done by a bazillion people learning separate parts to the 8 part harmony of sleep and signing it with the Polyphony recording of the song. Then the guy in charge, Scottie, edited all of it together for hours to make this version of sleep. It's just a proof of concept so things like cutoffs are slightly lacking. However, this month the same idea is being done again with Water Night (and am I the only one who thinks the lyrics are strange?). Anyways, anyone who wants to be in on it can be.

On another note, painful summer school is in session. The hours in class are long, but at least we get to go off campus for... 20 minutes. and JAYWALK!

And then, on another side note, I've been working on an interesting vocal experiment. I'll e sure to put it up once it's done.

School's (Been) Out! And Now It's Back In...

I was going to blog, but now I'm slightly disturbed. So instead I'll just say there wasn't enough vacation!

Finally!

This week has been purely chaotic and with nothing but utter hate for last week, I say that I'm psyched that its the weekend! The only good things that happened this week were the AP musical (which was largely entertaining because it got me out of school) and the choir tryout results. Next year is going to be fun in Chambers and congrats if you made it into the choir you wanted and I'm sorry for all of those who didn't. Now, to sleep... :)

Today Was Memorial Day So I Baked A Cake!

Yes, that's right. I baked a cake for Memorial Day. Actually I just happened to make a cake and make it (sort of) Memorial Day themed. How do you do that? You cover it in camo frosting (sorry I don't have any pics). A little off but it was something to do.
Other than that, today I saw Star Trek which was a pretty interesting movie but I won't waste time going over it as I am probably one of the last people to see it who actually cares about it. Then, I went over to my dad's friend's house where we painted a bit of a battle board with skulls*Note* this is not what I painted. Just something similar to it
as well as watching homo erotic Quizno's commercials which you can watch... if you want to I guess. And this was seriously on TV.

Revelation!

Earlier today, a crow died. In the middle of my back yard. This is obviously a sign of the end of the world from Hathor. I will be at the top of Mount Baldy. Anyone who wishes to join me and await the end of the world is welcome.

History of the World? Bah!

Instead of studying, I figure I would take time to blog about how stupid this test is, which is the best way of procrastinating at this moment... I guess. But in my opinion, learning the broad history of the world and then focusing on a few points, in later years, of history is rather odd. It seems it would make sense to learn it in more chunks than everything followed by random tidbits, but hey, im just trying to get the credits! Now I need to get back to "trying" to study...

Chocolate Soufflé Goodness

The picture here might be a little blurry, as im posting off of my phone and the picture was taken in a dark room, but basically you are looking at delicious chocolate souffle. Rich, creamy goodness.... and I think all the sugar is getting to me ^^

*Note*- My phone was being stupid so this didn't get sent correctly. Btw, I had a serious sugar high followed by a bigger sugar low. It was soooo worth it =D

The Imaginary Invalid

For anyone who does not know or remember, The Imaginary Invalid was the production put on at Bonita tonight and for the past three nights. It is a comedic tale about an old English family and follows a senile old father figure who is easily manipulated.
Anyways, I found the whole thing rather entertaining and it was quite funny (watching people dress up in odd costumes is twice as fun when you actually know the people. haha) and Kaitlyn Spyro did a whole eaborate operatic song which was also a lot of fun to watch. As there is not a ton more I can say, I just want to mention that the drama program is awesome and that its really a great art as well as that the play was done well.
In other news, Air Force One decided to take a low flight.... midday..... in New York City.... to take some pictures. I have to say that was an extremly stupid move. (And no, Obama wasn't involved.... though it would've made a great story ^^)

Fun with Beta

So, since last June a game called Battlefield Heroes has been announcing a beta (which is testing before a game comes out) which I have really wanted to check out. Unfortunately, I have had to wait until last week to actually get to TRY this beta but now since I have played it, I can say.... well... not much. Because the game is not actually out yet I can say nothing about the game other than it is a ton of fun and a pretty cool game. (NDA)

Hmmmm

For all of you who are not familiar with the band Motörhead:
Motörhead is a thrash/ speed metal band with one of their big songs being "The Ace of Spades" (anyone think the lead singer looks a bit like Thompson as a metal head...?)
Anyways, as I was listing CDs on Amazon, I put iTunes on the always-interesting RANDOM SHUFFLE. However, what i got was the song "Louie Louie".... by Motörhead (original) (Motörhead). Rather interesting. Good? *smirk* Maybe....
